What is Compression Therapy?
Treatment with compression products involves applying pressure to the affected limb, which is strongest at the ankle and gradually decreases towards the groin. The power of compression is expressed in mmHg (millimetres of mercury column) and depends on the value of its class.The mechanical action of compression is:
• Reduction of the venous diameter
• Acceleration of venous blood flow
• Closing of valves, which has a beneficial effect in the treatment and prevention of varicose veins
Who decides what compression (compression ratio) is right for the patient?
Recommendations for the degree of compression indicated for the patient are given by a doctor (e.g. vascular surgeon).How to fit the tights in the hips?
The correct fit of compression tights at the hips involves taking the following measurements:• Waist circumference (indicated in the table as cT),
• Hip circumference (marked in the table as cH)
• Compare them with the values presented in the table and select the appropriate size.
In which cases is the use of Venoflex compression products advisable and when is it not advisable for patients?
The use of Venoflex compressing products is recommended:
• Prophylactically
• For pregnant women,
• People leading a sedentary or standing lifestyle (work in a forced position, e.g. office worker, professional driver, hairdresser),
• During long journeys by car, plane, etc.
• For patients with a genetic predisposition to venous disease (inheritance);
• Conservatively
• Treatment of varicose veins of lower limbs in all stages and in other forms of venous insufficiency,
• By choice, in case of lack of consent or impossibility of interventional (surgical) treatment.
The use of Venoflex compression products is contraindicated absolutely:
• In case of advanced occlusive disease of peripheral arteries,
• Septic venous inflammation,
• Congestive heart failure,
• Cyanotic painful oedema.
Relatively:
• In case of advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. diabetic)
• RA (rheumatoid arthritis),
• Oozing dermatoses,
• Intolerance to compression fabric.
What are the differences between Venoflex products and what distinguishes them from other products?

How do I put the product on to avoid it collecting under my knees and creating darker patches?
In order for the product to fit well and perform its function, it should be a good size. Always apply the product according to the instructions attached to the product. It is advisable to put the product on using rubber gloves of the economic type, which will ensure better grip with the knitted fabric than with your hands. This will allow even application of the product to the lower limbs.Do the drawstrings in knee-high socks put pressure on?
In order to prevent compression, the product must be properly selected.With a view to wearing comfort, the finest welts have been intentionally used in products dedicated to everyday use. Products knitted in Fast technology (e.g. Fast Cotton line) are characterised by a pressure-free single cuff.
Why do theoretically well-fitting tights bunch up below the knees? How can this be remedied?
To avoid product gathering below the knee it is important to put the product on correctly according to the instructions. It is important to pull the tights correctly and evenly from the bottom up, for example using a rubber hosiery glove. This will ensure a better grip with the knitted fabric than with your hands.How long should I wear compression garments after sclerotherapy, at what compression level and when can I stop?
The type, level of compression and duration of use of a product after surgery is determined by the doctor on an individual basis. The product can be worn e.g. up to 3 months after the treatment, but it can also be worn continuously for a longer period of time or even for life as a preventive measure. Or when the progression of the disease requires it.
